Last week of college (AHHHasdfhjkdsgefkhjdv)

Pitched my final story sequence for "The Little Matchgirl" today. I think it went over really well! It feels really good to have come so far in terms of my storytelling/storyboarding skills, and my overall drawing ability. A friend came up to me today and said that my drawings have improved so much that they look like they come from an entirely different person, in her eyes. I'm feeling pretty awesome about that. Imagine that, progress. Aaaaaand now back to work! 

Snow Leopard

Went sketching for the first time this season at Central Park Zoo today....and the weather was PERFECT! So beautiful and brisk out, and the sun was shining :D This was the first time I got to see the snow leopard there up close and personal. So regal and elegant! Trying to experiment with the brush pen and watercolors more. This is a study I did after the zoo, and going through all my gesture drawings.

FACES

I don't know how to draw facesssssss. Trying to figure out how to draw individuals with character and personality, and not just generic faces. Trying to keep it simple, yet lively, as well. Working on line quality too. And caricature. SO MUCH TO THINK ABOUT.

Sketchbook Update

Haven't posted in awhile, and since I've been scanning a heck of a lot lately (preparing my portfolio for internships!), I thought I'd post some of my sketchbook drawings. No theme in particular, just a combination of life drawing at Spring Street, some observations from life, and animal studies. It's been really tough (and EXHAUSTING) balancing all the things I need to do these days, including my dreaded senior film (which is coming along, despite the fact that I'm supremely impatient with it now.......yup it's that time), but I'm trying reaaaaally hard to keep up the drawing. That's the most important thing right now, to keep my energy going strong, to stay focused and dedicated, and to stay inspired! Draw, draw, DRAW!!
